Format

Stroke play, net scoring. 4 courses, each played twice throughout the season. Your best net score on each course counts toward the final total.

📋

Handicap

Official Golf Box handicap or agreed-upon equivalent. Updated before each round. Max HCP 36.

🔄

Best of Two

Every course is played twice. Only your better net score is kept. One bad round won't ruin your season, but two might.

🌬️

Weather Rule

This is Rogaland. We play in wind, rain, and sideways drizzle. The round is only cancelled if the course closes. Bring layers.

📱

Scoring

All scores submitted via the tournament sheet within 24 hours. Late submissions get a 2-stroke penalty. The admin's word is final.

🍺

The 19th Hole

Post-round gathering is not optional. Whoever has the worst score buys the first round. That's just how it is.

🏆

Season Winner

Lowest combined best-net across all 4 courses takes the Rogaland Open trophy. Bragging rights last until next season.

🚫

No-Shows

Miss a course entirely? You score par + 10 net for that course. Two missed courses and you're out of contention. Show up.

Courses in Rotation

Sola – Forus

Forus · Par 72 · 18 holes

Parkland front nine, woodland back nine. Greens are some of the best in Norway. Watch out for the water between holes 9 and 18.

Played twice · best net counts

Sola – Stranden

Solastranden · Par 69 · 18 holes

Coastal links right by the airport. Par 69 sounds short until the North Sea wind gets involved.

Played twice · best net counts

Baerheim Golf

Sandnes · Par 72 · 18 holes

Flat parkland with views toward Gandsfjord. Looks open and friendly, but the pond in front of the 18th green gets everyone sooner or later.

Played twice · best net counts

Stavanger GK

Hafrsfjord · Par 71 · 18 holes

One of Norway's oldest clubs, founded in 1956. Tree-lined woodland course by Store Stokkavatn. Tight fairways, so maybe leave the driver in the bag.
